These are some
examples
of projects that we have undertaken
recently in South West England.
An Art Deco House needed careful design to make the most of its period
features whilst creating a room that would work practically for the
whole family.
The first step was to completely change the unused, yet
potentially beautiful, drawing/dining room. It was re-designed
to
enhance the proprtions and style; keeping the original doors, fireplace
and bay window.

for entertaining and family activities:


Conversion of a period property, (previously a derelict shop), into a
complimentary health clinic. The halfway
through stage and finished reception are shown below.
Lighting,
wall finish, flooring, individually designed curved reception desk,
seating area and all furniure and accessories by Maia Design.

Renovation of a previously unused attic space into a delux kitchen with
island unit and dining area (not in photo). New roof, plastering, wall
colours, tiling, units, flooring and lighting.

Country manor kitchen- subtle re-working to give give a contemporary
edge. Lighting added in and below the cupboards and a row of
pendant lights over the table. All units and walls repainted and new
leather chairs added.

Window dressing in country manor- Bespoke blinds, curtains and window
seat cushions.

Bathroom- Dramatic wall colour added to bring out the elegance of the
fittings.

Entrance hall restyle: Recessed ceiling lights and floor uplighting to
highlight the door and create interest. Walls repainted and new lined
curtains made.

Redesign of an office reception: Polished plaster walls The reception
and client's waiting areas were rearranged and seperated by use of new
curved desk and flooring. New blinds and lighting.

400 year old cottage kitchen; before and after: Meter cupboard door
removed and dresser designed and hand built. All units painted cream.

Far end of the kitchen used as a seating area. Units painted cream,
walls repainted, new
light fittings and furniture.
Country house dining room ; before and after. Window dressings, wall
colour and hidden and ornamental light fittings added to create an
elegant room for dining with guests.

 
Cottage bedroom before and after design.
Faded carpet replaced, walls repainted and curtains made. New furniture
and accessories to suit the country feel.

Staircase and landing before and after. Walls repainted in a
pale lilac to open up the space and reflect the light. New carpet and
stair runner to tone with the walls. Bespoke
embroidered silk blinds with beaded edging, recessed
lighting and
crystal chandelier.
